The changing nature of neighborhoods since the economy’s collapse, however, makes that more challenging because people don’t know their neighbors and, as a result, might not notice irregularities as easily, Zehnder said.
“There is no such thing as a bad part of town anymore,” he said. “That crime has migrated because the people have migrated because the housing has diversified.”
Police urge residents to report suspicious activity, use their house alarms and close garages and lock doors.

Default Graffiti in Vegas

I live in a small Canadian town and we also have graffiti, but usually under control. Businesses are required to clean or paint over the graffiti within 48 hours or be fined. Also large murals have been painted in problem areas. Also we have a bylaw that stores that sell spray paint are prohibited to sell paint to minors, unfortunately if they want to get the paint they will.
These measures are far perfect but they do help

There is a grafitti problem but it is small and under control. One problem is simply that we have blocks and blocks of blank walls in some areas just begging for some dumb kid to decorate them.

Reported grafitti however is pretty much all cleared in the next 48 hours.

Yeah - given the miles and miles of block walls, I'm quite surprised how little graffiti there is in Vegas. Then again, I moved here from NYC/NJ, so my reference frame concerning a normal level of graffiti in a city may be off.

It's December 7, 2011. I been living in vegas all my life , im 19 and a lot really has changed. I live in springvalley it's not that bad here compared to other parts of the city. But you can still get robbed and assulted at night TRUST ME and if you dont belive me just go and try it ! The worst part's of vegas that i been too are OLD WEST LAS VEGAS, (the projects), the coast, its up in northtown, EAST LAS VEGAS (SWENSON< BONAZA<ETC... The coast up in northtown (more projects) The jets (projects ) theres more and i can keep on going. Most of you guys havn't been to these parts of vegas and shouldn't wanna try !!! IN 2011 Las Vegas was ranked number 3 for most dangerous city's. VEGAS has got bad over my years of growin up here i wish i woulda grew up somewhere differnt, it corrupts you !
