This had to happen. They want to get rid of long time employees and hire cheaper newbies who work for even less. And of course, the parking thing has eliminated some of their local business too.

Their union is looking into this. Could be a clause that says something to the affect of "last one in first one out". Unfortunately the union may have to fight in court to have it enforced.

Temporary situation. Lots of people cancelled reservations in October apparently. They also stopped advertising for the property in the weeks after the shooting, which was a good idea. Already the rooms are starting to fill up again now that they are advertising and some time has passed.

BBMW- MGM was very clear in Las Vegas that the layoffs were a thing they do every year at this time cause of the holidays.

It'll pick up again in January, when the conventions start.

Also all the pools closed end of Ocotober. Those people are gone till Feb when training starts for day clubs etc.

I've been on the strip a few times, not towards the Mandalay Bay as my activities didn't take me to that end. But the Wynn and Venetian, you'd never knwo anything happened.
