Someone made a withdrawal from the cage in the Bellagio poker room. Video in the article. I think they need to upgrade the video system.

Edit: my title got autocorrected to oblivion. Hopefully the mods will fix.
Mod edit: done!

Nobody is upgrading the video system and that is an unfortunate fact you don't want to hear.

I don't care so much. But I think they would if they want it to be any deterrent. I could watch that video, and even if he wasn't wearing a disguise, not be able to identify him.

I saw it and he moves like a very young person but you are right...the video is awful. And you would think they would have some of those cameras placed to see license plate numbers too.

Going to guess they have the license plate information (whether it actually exists) and it's irrelevant

Did they mention the amount the thief stole? Looks like it might be around $20,000

I suspect they also have better footage, especially around the cage area

I'm also going to guess this person is a poker player and most likely losing reg. Some of the staff could potentially identify him

I think he carjacked the car, so the license plate is irrelevant. If they have better footage, I think they'd release it, to get tips on his identity.

If they had a name, he'd likely be arrested by now (or they'd release the name as a suspect.)

They have the car and mentioned a person not related to the crime. Going to guess its the person who he highjacked the car from.
There are camera's everywhere, which is how they got the car plate.

I know he was in an obvious costume, it looked clownish to me. Front desk should of warned everyone when he entered. Or the men 'upstairs' weren't doing their job.

If you know anything about the topology of the Bellagio, there's no need to walk past the front desk. There are multiple entrances. And last I remember there are now security checkpoints at any.

I'm guessing that he came in through the north valet entrance, which is near the poker room. That would be the quickest way in or out.

One would think that after the mass shooting, the casinos would put in security checkpoints at the entrances, at least for show.
