Ok, so we all know Las Vegas by it's casinos. But, what is it like to actually live there? Post your pics of cool golf courses, nice homes and their neighborhoods, the natural scenery (mountains, lakes, wildlife, palm trees, hiking, whatever!) museums, new condos (I know there are alot ov them getting built out there), anything!

So, in other words, what are the things that will show us tourists that Las Vegas isn't just a city of slot machines, night clubs, magic shows, and hookers?

As a tourist, that's all you need to know....slot machines, night clubs, magic shows and hookers...and don't forget plenty of drinking and public drunkeness to boot.

Default Or.............

Another thought might be to rent a car and get off that expensive Strip and see what the city is about. In fact, you could rent a convertible, put the top down and crank up the radio as you drive out to Mt. Charleston and stop for a drink up at the top in the Lodge. Then you could see Kyle Canyon and do the loop through the beauty of Red Rock. While out, a trip over to Lake Mead can't be missed nor a drive down to Boulder to see Hoover Dam. As your out and about and the day progresses, you can take note of how the surrounding mountains change color depending on what direction the sun happens to be. Also while out, you can take advantage of some great food and reasonable prices at the local off-strip restaurants, see plenty of master planned communities and gorgeous condo developments, world reknown golf courses and be able to form your own mental pictures of what Las Vegas is really about. Enjoy...................
