I am thinking of moving to las vegas, after deciding not to move to Wisconsin. I am slightly anti social and a bit afraid of men chatting me up or trying to harrass me, then get angry if I don't want to. Is there a lot of "cat calls" and things like that towards women in vega, can I walk alone without being bothered and harrassed?

Also as a whole would you say Las vegas is relatively safe-not North Las vegas.

thank You.

Are you talking with regards to that in the resort corridor or in the "real" Las Vegas? I've not seen it myself in either her place.

Men pretty much harass women everywhere at any time. I swear if I was a woman I would open carry a big gun and conceal carry a back up.

There are pigs everywhere but I think you will find this bahavior less often in Las Vegas than Texas for example..probably tho it will vary depending on how you dress where you go ect. If you dress like someone who would be recepetive to/enjoy that kind of attention then in fairness you need to expect some men will take the bait. Just jogging or something I would tend to doubt it people here are so self absorbed it seems they rarely pay attention to others around them.

Parts of Las Vegas aren't good.
Parts of North Las Vegas aren't good.
Parts of Henderson aren't good.
The rest of everywhere is reasonably good or better.
Each city has some less than great areas...much of North Las Vegas is fine.

On the strip or downtown, it seems relatively progressive with minor cat calling/ogling. Then again there are nearly naked women & men on the street to cat call/ogle who want to be cat called/ogled via their job description so most people are hot dogs to the steak the cat calling/ogling types would be drawn to on the strip & downtown.

The rest of Vegas is like any other city I imagine. I've not personally seen any in my short time here (4mos), but I'm sure it happens just like I've never or rarely seen it happen in other cities I've lived in, but was sure it happened there or happened more than I saw.

I have seen less of this here than other places. There are women all over wearing very little here, at least in the casinos/shows, so why hassle the locals?

Rest assured, if you're ugly then you won't get approached. Just don't swing your #MeToo stick around like a penis. If you want to live in a hobbit-hole, then go live in a hobbit-hole. Society will continue on under its own terms. Evolution says men approach women so that's what happens.

Default thank You

Thank You everyone for your response, I was really worried about this. Not to toot my own horn, but I am really easy on the eyes-lol, and where I live it does happen, not cat calling, or being rude if I don't want to sit there and have a conversation while I'm trying to shop or something.

I don't just in a way to gain attention, but I don't look like a Nun either, lol. I dress decent, and cover my ass at all times :-) You guys/ladies have eased my mind some on this matter. I probably would not be on the strip often, as I'm not into big crowds and tourists. I would do more so local activities-museums, local restaurants and stores. But I like to walk, I was just afraid of being approached, and if I'm not interesed, afraid of men being very rude or scary afterwords lol.

Thank You again.
