True. I am a floorman and I had to get a TAM card. I'm not sure if it was because of the law or the casino but I had to get one nonetheless.

How much are those people paid? Are the considered independent contractors?

FALSE.
I've worked at several major strip restaurants and still work at one(Venetian, Bellagio, PH, Mandalay Bay) and all had employees (including hostesses) under 21. I started work at a Venetian restaurant as a busser when I was 19.

If any of you are unsure on these matters, then don't comment , because the misinformation could affect the OP's employment.
