Who cares if Raiders are a go? The NFL itself is doomed. If you don't have a wide variety of mixed use for this useless bowl, it's going to be a monument to waste.

I loathe sports and spending money on them. But it's about construction confidence. A lot of projects are going.

Yeah because heaven forbid you'd ask the local residents who use those services to pay for them themselves.

Are you suggesting we introduce a state tax?

Good idea

What if the government only did their job and didn't spend all our money?

It's a terrible idea. Being in NYC, paying the highest taxes in the country, I can tell you you're much better of the way it is out there. Don't let the politicians and bureaucrats suck you dry. If you work and pay the taxes, you'll never see any benefit from them. The politicritters will use your tax money to buy the votes if the moochers who don't pay taxes. Force them to keep the taxes low, and keep the government in check.

Well then, one shouldn't complain about a tax on tourists not being spent on things that mostly favor local residents. Low taxes and government in check are always noble goals, but tax structure in Nevada is a mess. The state used to ride free off the gambling monopoly and the small population which mostly existed to serve one industry. Now that industry can't support all needs as the population explodes and yet state residents look around like why should I pay taxes, no one did it before me.

I can salute it for your sake then. Will the XFL be allowed to use the new stadium, or is it truly a money laundering operation for connected folks?

Uh oh! This could put all of these grand plans on hold

It has tanked the stock (down 9%) which unfortunately I own. Fortunately, it has been up a lot recently.
