I have an admittedly bizarre collection of images of Frenchman mountain that cover well over a century.

Why Frenchman Mountain? Well firstly I live at the base of it, so I suppose that creates some sort of affinity, but it is also the subject of some of the earliest images of Las Vegas.

Frederick S. Dellenbaugh painting from 1876

there is an 1855 drawing, but hardly anything is identifiable that isn't specifically lableled

Then from around 1905 onward you get pretty decent photographic coverage

I have amassed a collection of hundreds of images that cover the mountain from the earliest days of Las Vegas to present.

I am always looking for more, and am particularly interested in anything before 2005.

Frenchman need not be the main composition of the photograph, in fact the collection is characterized more by Frenchman as an unchanging sentinel bearing witness to a constantly changing town/city.

Could you please post some more. I too live at the base of the mountain and quite enjoy it's presence.

I wonder if there is anyway to get blown up prints of that Dellenbaugh painting?

As far as I know the painting is owned by the Nevada State Museum and Historical Society, if anyone is producing new lithographs it is probably them. UNLV special collections has at least one digital copy of a copy of that painting, and it would be possible to get a high resolution scan from them and produce a photograph suitable for framing for a small fee, although Im not sure how much you'd want to blow it up.
