I am looking for a large house plant such as a ficus. Something that will grow 6 to 10 feet tall. Went to lowes, HD, and Star but no luck.

I am also looking for a dwarf bonanza peach tree.

If anyone has experience with the peach tree, how much stuff does it drop? The spot I have that gets full sun all year is only about 10 feet from the pool....I have another spot, but most of the day it gets dappled light due to some trees. Not sure if it would be ok with this lighting.

Try the Moon Nursery On Charleston at Lindell (Between Jones and Decatur) This is the old Plant World.

They get knocked a bit nowadays for poor customer service but still have I think the best selection around of indoor plants and exotics. No one else in town is close on this stuff.

Another nod for Moon Nursery. Watch out for the parrots.

I got bit bad on the hand by the white one named Cool Whip. He did the 'hey I'm friendly sign' so I put my hand up.

Nailed me right in that soft spot between my thumb and pointer finger. Would not let go, I was shaking my hand and he was holding on like grim death. Some woman who worked there saw this and came running over. He then jumped on her shoulder.

She said his name should be bait and switch. That area of my hand was numb for months with beak holes on it. Never had a bird embarrrass me. lol

He was still there maybe 2 years ago. Tried that same "I'm friendly' crap.

That one used to be Plant World.

I was sad when the owners retired and sold it to Moon Valley. Their big cockatoo named " Cool Whip " used to climb on my shoulder when I went there.

Haha! Just saw your post peanut! I guess you caught him on a bad day. I have a picture of him on my shoulder, and oddly, my son does too. ( Taken at different times )

I used the to have a cockatiel that would pull that " I'm friendly" crap with people and then try to remove their digits. I named the little terrorist Khadafi.

Ok now make me jealous He didn't try to take your ear off. Usually animals love me, love them too.

If I'm with friends and we meet up with dogs, the dog will always come to me first. Friend say they always go to her first.

Cool Whip still tries that crap with me. Why I check on him is beyond me.

I believe he remembers who was pushing him and trying to shake him off. He wants revenge.

LOL at Khadafi.

OP Moon Valley has a fabulous selection of plants. The birds give some comic relief.
