Henderson Hands Down. That should be the slogan.
Not all of Henderson has bad traffic. But think of the Eastern corridor from 215 going south to the end of the line. It has become saturated due to development. Most of the residential construction over the past 10 years has not included any addition of or expansion of commute arteries to get to either 215 or 15.

I'm envious of those of you that have a Winco within
driving distance. I love that place. When I eventually move out to
Las Vegas...that is definitely gonna be my go-to.

[quote=diversityrules7;51501879]Downtown summerlin is a ghost town - resturants are closing up fast

Part if the problem with those restaurants closing is that for the most part their menus did not match the demographics of the shopping center. I suspect that more "generic" fare will fill the spaces in the near future. Probably another burger joint or something along those lines - simple American fare. A Brazilian steak house it just a bit "too" out of step for the typical suburban customer.

By the way, with regards to Henderson's "altitude", it is really elevation since we presume that the city of Henderson sits on land and does not fly through the air.

I live nearby in Red Rock CC and anticipated visiting Downtown Summerlin on a very regular basis, it has turned out quite the opposite. It is the nicest mall off the Strip but I think the era of going shopping has past. My husband and I rarely eat out in restaurants as we much prefer to cook out own meals at home for ourselves and friends.

When I search for articles about this I come up short with only older ones. Costco and The Block have obvious uses, but I am not sure if there are any benefits to having the Raiders Headquarters nearby. Is there any public use out of places like that?
First, hello neighbor. I live in Palatine Hill. Second, I hope your friend of a friend is right. I have almost given up on Costco on Marks St. because it is so crowded. I'm not going to stop shopping there but I have stopped buying gas and I might downgrade my membership.

Hi
Anybody have any updates on the Costco opening date? Have they even started?

I will burst your bubble. We live in Sun City Summerlin. Traffic? No problem. Restaurants? No problem. We eat out all the time and like to try different cuisines. We have never had to wait over 15 minutes for a seat. That on a Saturday evening.

We spent 3 weeks in SC Anthem and if you want to talk about traffic let's mention Eastern and St. Rose. I have never seen traffic that bad on any of the streets over here.

I don't think you know what you are talking about.

Jealously might be rearing it's ugly head.
