Henderson has TWO Costcos when the second is built. The one in Summerlin is a nightmare.
Red Rock better than GVR? lol
Athem and Inspirada have no apartments.
Idiot mayor allowed luxury apts on St Rose and many off Steph. Summerlin has lots of apts in short distance.
Airplanes are no biggie in anthem/inspirada
Henderson cops don't put up with bulls...

Summerlin is lame, Henderson is closer to the strip and is way cooler. Henderson has waaay better casual restaurants, the best pizza in town (Grimaldi's and Settebello), better shopping (The District, Townsquare, discount outlets), less half dead elderly peeps, cooler temps- higher altitude, less crime, nicer/younger people, a somewhat "living vibe,"

Restaurants close because they're lousy places to eat with crappy food. There's too much competition to go halfway.

Not everyone wants to be close to the strip. Just because we live here doesn't mean we find it interesting. You can have it all to yourself.

In my opinion neither is better than the other. They are different and that is a good thing.

To make it simple for everyone let us think about Summerlin and Henderson.

Two communities with lots of people who like living where they are.

That is the important thing,

Busy streets, wrong restaurants, warmer/cooler, places to shop.

Seriously, who cares?

I know I've picked on a couple of you, but that's just for fun.

Lighten up everyone.

Yeah, this is getting dumb.

Clearly, Boulder City is the best place to live.

I have been living in Anthem for the past 4 years and commute all the time on Eastern and St Rose, while it gets busy but really nothing out of the ordinary, max it takes 10 minutes to hit the ramps of 215 freeway during rush hour. Saying that Henderson has no bike trail is a very big joke, it has lots of bike trail and the very long bike trail at Lake Mead is less than 20 minutes from Anthem. Some BS posts in this thread, take it easy both places are nice.

My guess is October, but I think I'm being a little optimistic
My wife is looking to transfer so we have been asking around quite a bit, the consensus is they will begin hiring transfers this August and Opening in November, trying to beat the holiday season. I do hope this is true, because our last transfer was to Kentucky and nearly three years later I certainly am ready to head back west. Hope this helps.
