I think the summer is awesome, but I can see how if you don’t have a pool or just want to walk around, it’s too hot. For swimming it’s ideal. For me, places like LA are way too cold! It’s going to be 69 next Monday in LA - downright freezing for summer. If that’s what some people think is great weather,
I’m glad they live there and drive up the property prices. I hated their cold springs and late summers. May as well live in the Pacific Northwest if it’s only going to be swimming weather for 3 months of the year. Vegas weather is the best! Hotter the better if you ask me.
I agree with you. The Las Vegas heat is nothing. I admittly regret moving to Florida. The heat is vastly different. Today we have a 102 degree heat index (about 93 degrees).., miserable. And I’m not even in the southern part of Florida. I’m north of the middle. I’d move back in a heartbeat except for 2 things..wife loves it here and my health. If I could move my house from here to there it would be great. However, a single story, 2500ft on 1.5 acres would be 800k there easy

Yea, it's not the heat it's the humidity. May through Sept. are tolerable at best.

Nothing like a 4PM rain storm followed by the sauna that occurs when the storm passes and the sun comes out.

I heard so much about this before arriving in March and was very excited! A couple of weeks ago I was woken up twice by big thunder in the middle of the night and thought "alright, this is it!".

Aaaaaand nothing

The 113 today I think broke the record. Unfortunately there will be more records broken this week.

You're right, it was today's high temp. It's almost 10:30 pm now and McCarran is still 100.0 F / 37.8 C lol.

Nine pm and it's 73.0 F / 22.8 C at McCarran and 71.1 F / 21.7 C at Henderson Executive. That'll cool off my garage! Windstorm today really brought in some cooler air.
