I brought it home and spent a fun afternoon cutting it up to put in my trash can.
If you think how many years it is required for hard plastic to be processed, $20 is not too much.

But probably they just throw it away in the ocean...this whole story about plastic in the world is too sad..

That's a great option if you have a truck. I have a load that needs to go and it will probably cost $100 to get rid of it!

On a smaller scale, while I was selling a vacant house in another State, some neighbor(s) went into the back yard and loaded up the large curbside trash and recycling bins with their junk. After a friend wheeled the bins out to the curb for pick up, he placed them in the garage. Otherwise law abiding citizens seem to think trash receptacles on private property are there for everyone.

I wonder if that is really true. I would have thought there would be a law against it. The following article says it is considered "theft of services" but is not specific to Nevada. At any rate:

How to Keep Your Neighbors From Using Your Dumpster

Nothing earth shattering in the above, of course.

I think Home Depot's rental flatbed is less.

Funny, when we were having our landscaping converted the contractor had this huge dumpster dropped off for all the grass/sod they were taking up plus the other debris. He said they always get one twice as big as they need because people usually dump their own junk in there.

When they finally hauled it away three days later not one person had thrown as much as a trash bag in it. I was tempted to tell a few neighbors to go ahead and fill it up. It was maybe half full when they took it away.
