There is a possibility of my husband applying for a job in the LV area. We are in our 50's so do not have to worry about schools.

What is the price range of the condos near the strip starting for a 2 bedroom please?

What areas outside the strip are nice for something around 2500 sq ft. ?

thank you.

Just want to get an idea if I gave the go ahead.

You don't want to live near the strip. Believe me you don't. It's not the same as visiting. And why not use the SEARCH feature to answer your questions?

The only thing you would want on or near the Strip are luxury high-rise condos. Two bedrooms run between $750K and $1.5 million, depending on views and attributes. Don't let anyone tell you that any other type of near-Strip condo is an acceptably safe or nice place to live. There are a lot of underhanded real estate agents around peddling extremely dubious properties and neighborhoods based on the premise that they are close to the Strip and therefore somehow guaranteed to go up in price and become nicer.

Outside the Strip you can look at Summerlin, Northwest Las Vegas, or parts of Henderson. Summerlin has the nicest neighborhoods, but it's a long way from the Strip and the airport.

I would not suggest you to live near the strip. It's flooded with cheap apartment complexes, and you would not find a decent place even if you want to pay more for it. Unless you can afford one of the high rises then look for a place in Henderson or Summerlin.

Almost right. There are some reasonable condos in LVCC that are both close and not too expensive. $200K to $300K. About as safe as Turnberry.

There are also some Single Families back on Shadow that appear workable.

Otherwise I pretty much agree.

I do not however suggest the Hi Rises as a rational place for a local. Just does not work. No real community to them. Maybe an RE guy trying to corner the development. Otherwise makes little sense. Get a lot more for the same money elsewhere.

Default search

If you ever want to move to the Fl. area, dont need to press search. I understand each question is a little different and people are sometimes in a rush and need an answer in a hurry. So I would answer your questions any time, no matter how much they had been answered before.

Sorry some of you feel it is easier to complain about using the search, it actually would have taken less time to write a two sentence reply, but some just like to complain

to those of you that answered, thank-you. It is really a place that I did not enjoy visiting the one time that I did. Swore I would never go back again..but if a good job calls, I am pleasant enough and nice enough to make friends anywhere.. even there.
