A big storm blew thru Tucson last night, lowering the temp's to the point I had to put on a long-sleeved shirt to sit out in my AZ room. Today is so, so tolerably cool! And, that storm pattern should reach Las Vegas the next couple days. Enjoy!

Went out back a little while ago. I cannot see any mountains on the eastern or northern sides. The Strip is barely visible. I live up on the western slope.

And I wonder why my eyes are constantly full of junk and burn.

Oh Sweet Mother of Toast, I hope so. This summer is kicking my ass, Tij.

This is comical. I guess you just hate humidity of any kind. Low 80s with 50-60% humidity is a heat index of...mid 80s. Meanwhile 105 with 8% humidity is a heat index of 98. To say it feels the same must mean you are superhuman and are able to ignore science

It's a truism, that the longer you live in the desert, the more sensitive you become to humidity. It can be painful for me to even go to San Diego/Tijuana on a summer weekend. Sweat, sweat, sweat! Not used to that, wiping your forehead with a napkin every so often.

I've even been in San Francisco with a temp of 77 and it was a struggle!

Chicago in June was a soggy time for sure. Rained off and on and the humidity was as bad as I remember in the Midwest. Sopping wet every day.

And we come back to frying eggs on a sidewalk.

There's got to be a middle road somewhere.

We go back to the middle of the road in about 45 days! And then we have months of perfect!

Grew up in central NJ and then lived and worked in Manhattan. I moved here because of the warm weather and every time I walk outside in 100+ heat, I take a beat to soak it in like a dry sauna. I would bike Central Park in 90 percent humidity and what is perceived here to be humid just isn't...not even close. Everyone has their own preference, that's just mine and no more blizzards with five foot snow drifts thank you very much. Like someone else said though...wouldn't want to have to work outside all day in it.
