LOL. Can't stop thinking of the pick up line. "Hey, mister, where's your gun?"

"well, young lady, since you asked...….."

This is correct - you can be trespassed for any reason, and they can choose to trespass you when they detect you have a firearm, rather than ask you to leave and return without your firearm. There is no requirement that you get a warning and opportunity to disarm. The signs at the Mirage state this policy.

Most of the off-strip casinos I frequent don't have signs prohibiting firearms . Depending on what I'm wearing, and the level of concealment I require, I wear one of four different holsters. Three of them are pretty much undetectable. The fourth is only detectable if you really look for it, and I reach or squat in such a way that it pulls my shirt across it, and reveals the shape underneath. It's also the most comfortable of the four by far, otherwise there wouldn't be any reason for it.

I'll work backwards on this one. My casino has signs at every entrance saying "No weapons allowed". If someone is found with a gun, they are asked to put them in their vehicle with no trespass. We had one guy a few months ago who refused to comply with my request and Metro sent 5 cars to take him into custody.

Pepper spray is not a weapon so it doesn't get the treatment like a firearm or long knife.

I've got a question for you. Does your casino tell the whales that their body guards must leave their weapons in their cars, or do they make special dispensation for them?

As for the guy who refused to comply, well, he got what he asked for. He should have just left and spent his money elsewhere.

Also, nice of you to answer the OPs original question.

Mine doesn't get the whales like the ones on the Strip so that hasn't happened and it probably won't happen anytime soon.

The thing about CCW's and this varies by state but just because you have a permit doesn't give you absolute rights in certain places (Government buildings, schools, etc.) and violating that rule will get your permit taken away similar to a drivers license. Casinos are private property so they can and will throw you out if you are deemed undesireable.

I know the answer to this. Usually the security chief coordinates with VIP security details and yes, they're usually allowed to carry.

How do you know if someone is carrying?

Really doubt that. Most properties that cater to ultra high clientele have contracted private security for those occasions. The only outsiders that I have seen having the blessing of casino management is secret service. Secret service also will protect foreign dignitaries visiting the US. There have been boxers, rappers with a large entourages packing that have been told to leave over the years.

Usually the gun will show even wearing an IWB (inside waist band) holster. In the case of the guy who got locked up, he was playing craps and got testy with other players and started showing the gun under his shirt.
