Yup.

Looks like you guys are going to be getting another truck driver sometime within the next two years.

I've got over 9 years experience, and I'll have about $10,000 worth of income saved up.I'm basically just going to sell most of my belongings that I can't carry, and move on out. I've had enough of the east cost to be perfectly honest. I've lived in Virginia mostly my entire life with a few years in Michigan.

I have an OTR job right now, but I would like to transfer into something that has a decent paying local/regional opportunity eventually. Ultimately my goal is to make an attempt to do something new, and get involved in the Marijuana industry somehow.

Yes I know that CDL drivers can't hold a Marijuana card in NV as it is unlawful to do so. But this most recent complication I've had with diabetes has shown me how valuable CBD oil is. I would like to do as much as I can to promote that product and help people with similar problems that I've had before I started taking it. Just in case you were wondering - No I don't take CBD oil or any related products anymore on account of my respect for my trucking job and the laws associated with it.

However I will add that I feel the entire reason I'm able to drive truck again is because of how effective CBD was in lowering my A1C. My doctor was almost shocked when I told him how I did it because it only took 2 years after being on a diet and exercising regularly for my pancreas to recover while using CBD. I went from an 8.2 down to a 5.3 in about 2 years.

So my questions are -

1. How much of an income can I expect from a local trucking job while making these first few steps of
my move happen?
2. Where are the low crime rate neighborhoods that don't cost a fortune to live in?
3. Where do people get enough experience to get a job in these dispensaries?

1. I can't answer this as i'm not a truck driver, However i have heard from many of my friends that as long as you have all your endorsements you can easily find work with construction companies hauling sand/equipment etc. which pay really well and better than OTR or so i've been told. I myself am considering going this route eventually, Maybe i can even PM you a few questions. =)

2. I know many others will disagree but for me i'll say either SW Las Vegas (Spring Valley) or NW North Las Vegas are great places to live, Summerlin/Henderson are often named among those as well but i just find Henderson to be 'boring' and Summerlin to be overpriced - that's just me however.

3. As far as retail entry level positions go what i can tell you is prepare to have your time wasted, Unless you're young we're talking early 20's and/or Female with a nice rack then forget about it - As there is lots of blatant discrimination when it comes to being a 'budtender'. I have previous experience in the industry and even i have had an extremely tough time finding employment as most positions I've found to be temp jobs.

There are many opportunities for 'trimming' positions which will allow you to eventually move-on to packaging/retail depending on the company, As far as experience its really too early to say as everyone is pretty much just starting out within the industry but i obtained my experience from Oaksterdam Uni as well as worked with a small Cannabis startup based out of California. Pretty much everyone who i know that works in a Lab or Dispensary/Cultivation etc. has obtained their experienced either in a different fields such as Sales/Business Management/Horticulture etc. or have out of state Cannabis experience.
