After really enjoying my three stays there because the rooms were big- one long block away down Flamingo for a decent price, I bought one of the units overlooking the Strip for $115k..I took public transportation from the airport twice and it was quick and easy-the time I drove I used their mandatory valet but am really happier driving and parking myself.

Years ago people panned the Platinum as an investment because the management company took half the revenue off the top. They still do and my monthly check seems to be $550-900. This isn't bad but not super. Taxes are about $1200.. It is really convenient when I go to Vegas -give them some notice and my own place is there waiting for me.. There is a closet which locks so a person can keep belongings. I like that is dog friendly ( never more than just a few dogs but they seem to be especially cute and behaved).

The rules are not good (costs high) if you want to live there 24/7 so I don't recommend that.

Its also especially quiet -no gaming - people seem considerate. Also no buffet which I am sometimes in the mood for.

Any other recent impressions?

How long ago did you buy? Are your checks higher in the Spring
from their rental program?

Seems like you are one.. Is that an intelligent comment? Does that help anyone decide whether to stay or visit? Are you always this informed? Did you ever stay there?

A few years ago and while I know the trend has been towards higher checks, I am not sure about the season..Management can probably help..

Its a positive that Tripadvisor and others, last time I checked rated them near the top for places to stay.
