Passed the new Chick Fil A on Rainbow on the way home from the gym...Last night, I see tents with people camping out like it's Black Friday. Tonight the traffic was so massive police had to direct the flow. What could possibly cause people to react this way to a new fast food place? I tried it once and it was not exactly life altering. What's going on that I'm not getting?

You evidently never ate at a good Chick Fil A place.

That is very bizarre...

Perhaps those people have already maxed out the "Mt. Charleston--Lake Mead--Valley of Fire" thingy for awhile?

I thought there were already Chik-Fil-A's in other parts of the valley? It would make more sense if this one was the First Ever in Las Vegas.

Because it was the grand opening and the first 100 customers get free food for an entire year. That's why they were camped out. It happens at Chick-Fil-A grand openings all the time. Next year there is another location opening on the Strip. Get your tent ready if free chicken means that much to you.

Same thing went on for days at the Henderson opening. We rarely eat fast food, but it is funny to listen to the local news teams rave about it.

Nothing to rave about but the free food promo for a year is what the people want regardless of the quality of the food.

I like their food but not worth camping out. Reminds me of Best Buy on Thanksgiving. You would think they WERE giving away stuff.

I don't get camping out for anything, but people do it for concert tickets, black Fridays, Apple phones, etc. Are any of those things "life altering"? Honestly, why do you care OP? People have their reasons I guess, and everyone is different in their thinking.

On a side note, it's the best fast food out there. I don't eat fast food often, but it's a good choice when doing so. Also, they are incredibly profitable franchises and have good business practices. I'm all for them.

I heard that Chick-Fil-A we’re going to limit it to people who live in the community. There were reports people would travel around to openings and snap up the free crap.
