Hi everyone, I'm new to this site and I have come here seeking advice because I'm about to move to Henderson. I'm about to start my search for a place to live, and I mainly would like to know what are the best areas in Henderson to live. A better question may be are there any areas I should stay away from. I'm not picky.

A little about me... I'm born and raised in Georgia and just graduated from Georgia Tech where I studied mechanical engineering. I'm about to turn 24 and I'm single. I enjoy outdoor activities such as hiking, camping, fishing, kayaking. I also enjoy being social and getting drinks with friends. I smoke weed. I may be looking to get a cat or dog at some point so would want to move into a place that would allow that. I'm very excited to move to Henderson as its been a dream of mine for a while to move west.

I'm not looking for a particularly extravagant place to live or extravagant location. I just want to make sure its safe and theres nothing weird about it. As far as the place itself, the cheaper the better as long as it is in a good location and is not a piece of sh*t. All recommendations for areas or actual apartment complexes themselves are welcome and much appreciated.

Thanks!

A downtown luxury apartment or a cute remodeled SFR near UNLV are my suggestions based on the little bit of information I read about you. I still feel that downtown is completely under priced as far as sales and rentals go and a gentrification bomb is waiting to explode there. Functional walkability could be better, but all it takes is a few grocery stores and restaurants to get that place really moving. It's gotta happen soon if Vegas is going to be considered a real metro.

The OP said they were moving to Henderson. There are a lot of newer apartments along Horizon Ridge between Eastern and Gibson. There are hiking trails right there and Lake Meade is about 20 minutes east. Boulder City is right down the 515/95. The District in Green Valley is 10 minutes away.

While there are a ton of restaurants and shopping close by I don't think there is a lot in the way of nightlife for a single person.

Nah Henderson is boring. OP is young. He wants to live near a place where he can go bar hopping on the weekend. That's downtown all the way.

Yes because living in Henderson prohibits one from going bar hopping Downtown.

Do us a favor and read the first paragraph of the OP, or start your own thread if you're going to be silly.

You still need to drive for bar hopping even if you live in downtown LV.

Anywhere in 89052, 89044, or 89012.

The neighborhood I live in is very nice and safe. I know there are condos up the road from me near the intersection of Seven Hills Dr. and Sunridge Heights Pkwy; https://www.google.com/maps/@35.9916...1223975,16.56z

Why Henderson? Seriously, why are you limiting your search to just that area?
