Hi all,

My family and I will be relocating to the area. Can anyone recommend some of the following to me?

We are looking for a strong education for our kids so any recommendations on either public or private schools is welcomed. :-) We have kids at the elementary level right now. We also have a preschooler so we are looking for preschool suggestions too!

Lastly, my daughter has a passion for competitive dance so I am interested in hearing about studios who offer a competition program. Summerlin area has been suggested to us and my husband will be working in the heart of Las Vegas but we are open to other areas to live and go to school. Would also take gymnastics recommendations for places that have a competitive program as well!

Thanks in advance for any thoughts as I begin my research..... :-)

Given your questions you also may want to consider private, charter, and public school options in Henderson south of the 215 and west of the 515/US95. We homeschool so I would not be able to provide any feedback regarding specific schools.

One of my kids used to take dance classes at a placed called Step Up Dance Academy in Henderson. I believe they have quite a few teams which compete.

Our kids used to take gymnastics classes at a place called Gymcats in Henderson. We know a family whose children are on teams which compete locally and regionally.

I would recommend the Meadows school or faith lutheran for your children. I would also second the Summerlin area - the area has good home values, good clean neighborhoods, clean streets, nice infrastructure and plenty of family activities. Don't know of any good dance studios but Desert Gymcats is pretty good for gymnastics - they always have kids that place in top 3 @ the State Finals. Good luck
