Here is an interesting find. Not sure if it works but the link is good. Supposedly you put in a disconnect order then call the number in the link to get discounts. I found this information elsewhere on the net. I personally have not done this and can't say for sure it works but it might be worth trying.

How to get 40% off the Cox retail pricing.
Cox has a certain department for giving 40% off normal internet pricing. I called them a year ago and they got me 100 Mbps service for $52.79 and recently that offer ended so it went up to $87, retention department at Cox wasn't getting me any good offers then I remembered that I had to call a certain number to get the 40% off. First to get it you have to setup a disconnect date (probably a week from now) then the next day call the number, although it says it is invitation only they never asked if I got an invitation. https://www.cox.com/residential/spec...f=1011l5Zbr4VF

Just tell them your offer that was on your account just ended (or that you have disconnect on your service already), they ask for pin verification and then tell you what each tier will cost. The phone is a direct number, representatives are much better than normal Cox reps.

This worked for me and my sister's account too. She didn't wait till next day after setting up the disconnect though, she called within 10 minutes.

The regular non promotional rate for 300MBPS is $104.99 a month while it is $119.99 for Gigablast. $157 for 300MBPS is way out of range from where it should be.
Yes, this is why I have been fighting with them!

Ok, so as I stated yesterday my cell phone company caught onto me using my cell phone as a hotspot without a paid hotspot package.
I decided to go with COX preffered 30 package at $39.99 per month for 12 months.
I purchased the following modem/wifi router: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

What’s insane to me is how much of our monthly bill goes to this! I pay $90/month for electricity on a 2,900 square foot home in the summer (solar panels) and $200 in the winter but I pay $201/month for Internet and cable with a single cable box every single month. That’s just crazy to me. We need some disruption in that field because $2,400/year for Internet and cable TV seems insane.

Hopefully 5G will take care of the problem for good.

It won't. The idea that cost savings will be passed down to consumers is just not how Corporate America rolls.

I would gladly pay the same or a little more for a reliable source. I've been with cox for decades and my internet has always been intermittent at best. Can't count the number of times techs have been here always with the same result. If you have cox TV wait until you get their new box, total. POS
