I would have done it, but going up and down stairs with heavy things would have been a real pain for me. I have a serious problem with my left leg right now, impacting my life. But I would have helped you if I could have. It's the thought that counts.

I don't understand commenting on this thread if you're not going to be helpful. If you're going to lambast someone, I'd start looking in the mirror.

I have found movers before on Craigslist that were ok for short term stuff. I bought a desk last year and hired someone on CL to move it. Worked out fine.

Glad you resolved your search for help.

The pro movers have to deal with that nonsense.
This is what I was referring to for the most part.

Yes, when i started a thread like this, the last thing I would have expected was personal attacks, dig deep and consider that those people must hate themselves.

It;s just the heavy items like disassembling and reassembling the bed and scrubbing the tile floors that are the major items. I have no PTO left from work at the moment.

OMG, what part of town do you live in? By Mario's Market?

Remember I used to flick butts, not now. 1200.00 will do that, although a warning would have worked too.

I made 18.00 dollars an hour - 12 YEARS AGO. I have no problem with buses, uber and lyft. Try driving with a neurological problem that makes your head constantly pull to the right, Would not wish it on Lucifer himself.

Someone do the math for me because I just woke up, I pay 675.00 for a large master bedroom in a house built in 2003 with all utilities and WIFI included. Good clean neighborhood. My own large bathroom which LVMensch already described in detail.

Without being too transparent, let's just say I have between 30 and 40k in checking with plenty of credit available if ever needed. I have an easy bus ride and work inside in the AC where my gray matter makes my money. So would you say I could live 3 to 4 years on what I have?

40k is a fortune to some, a pittance to others. I manage to gamble too and had lots of fun last night after several hours of play and ended up at a push or maybe one or two hundred net profit.

Sometimes my strategy is to have fun and sometimes it is strictly to turn a profit. Last night was for entertainment, so I am pleased that I did not lose.

A lot can happen in 28 days, so you never know. The tile floors in the room will need heavy duty scrubbing once the furniture is moved upstairs and I need trustworthy people because I will not be able to miss work, but may be able to take a few hours off on the 1st.

Then there's the payment conundrum.

I live near the Henderson executive airport.

why not keep 10k in the checking and the rest in a high yield savings account? with 30k @ 2.2% interest you can get ~$55 a month.

I used to gamble often when I first move to Vegas but it became exhausting. Casinos always have the edge, and the more you play the more it follows the statistics.
