I'm on the Strip 1-3 times a week, either having dinner, a drink in a lounge somewhere, visiting friends who perform there, or seeing whatever show is new. We sometimes start downtown for dinner, then wind up on the Strip. It's THE destination for girls night out as well

We also go to Red Rock Station quite often, for dinner and some dancing in the lounge, once in a while throwing some shekels in the slots, movies and bowling.

We like the local casinos and visit them maybe once a week, favorites are Rampart, Green Valley Ranch, Sunset Station and the Santa Fe, for dinner, a drink and dessert and a bit of gambling afterwards.

Aside from work and when family or friends are in town, we never leave Henderson. Why would you want to. Now we go to boulder city all the time to mtn. bike in Bootleg canyon or we heat west to Red Rock. I Can honestly say I have been to BC more that the Strip. My favorite casino is Green Valley and it is close to home. Sunset Station is right behind in 2nd. If you are really cheap, Hacienda has $2 craps and $1 blackjack and a $4 dinner.

Great. But most of you seem to be married. What about for those of us adults who are single? Do singles who are also locals go to the strip, or pretty much stay near their hometown?

It is like a ski resort but for mountain bikes. Downhill and XC. The terrain is insane. Just outside of Boulder City.

Hometown? I assume you mean neighborhood? Lots of locals hang out on The Strip, especially if they are single. It depends on how much you enjoy crowds. If you go there to gamble a lot you might have a problem though. Most locals who gamble like the locals casinos for the odds and ease of getting in and out. The Strip is fun, no doubt about it, otherwise it wouldn't be there. If you enjoy it you won't be thought of as odd or anything like that. Vegas is about fun and we all live and let live here.

Have you ever been to Moab, Utah, cjski? It's the mountain bike capital.

we go to the strip only when family or friends come over or when the sports book has free give aways during triple crown race events and occasionally when we feel lazy about cooking.
