I don't consider Aliate very far out. Tule Springs and Log Cabin are far out. Aliante is only at 215. Far out is five miles north of that. Any community split by a major freeway can never be far out.

I wasn't picking on you. Are you paranoid? i was just actually agreeing with you. Go back and re-read it. And FWIW, i'm not a newbie to Vegas. I know my area's.

Green Valley is a very peaceful, quiet community.
If you are involved in real estate, you may want to learn more about Aliante. As lvkewlkid said, the sun city part is 55+. The rest of it is all ages.

Yup and GV has got to be about the worst commute imaginable for a person working at Pecos and Craig. You go north then west.

And I know you are not a newby PinkString...in fact your one of my favorite commentators on the great LV north.

I live in N. Las Vegas across from the base. It's not a bad a place, but then again I'm a single guy so I don't have the same worries as some others. I hate traffic also so that why I live close to the base. There are some newer housing divisions up along Craig Rd. like it was mentioned before.

I looked at a great house across the street from the base. It was beautiful but just a little too small. Lots of the neighbors had observation decks for watching the jets take off, I guess. It was a nice area!

Yes, Sun City Aliante is age-restricted.

Green Valley is one of the nicest areas in town. Especially if you live south of the 215, it is much quieter than north of the 215. I am talking about Green Valley Ranch area all the way up to Anthem. I wouldn't choose to live anywhere else.

Len...Live wherever you like...this guy needs to be on the North side.

You are talking about the wrong 215. NLV and Aliante are partially north of 215 and very quiet.

Aliante consists of many developments most of which are not age restricted. It is a master plan not a Del Webb development. There are a couple of Del Webb developments in the master plan including Sun City Aliante.

And Len, I live directly south of 215 in Green Valley Ranch, it is very loud because of the freeway, the schools, the casino, and The District, as well as The Pavilion, library and police station. Even at night, we can hear the railroad, which is supposed to be 3 miles away. There are always sirens from the freeway, and lots of noise from the 2 elementary schools. Anthem may be nice, but once you get into Anthem, it basically takes a half hour to get to your house, again you have the Eastern traffic to deal with, and there's still not much close to Anthem. Again, this post was meant for the northern part of town.
