I will be soon graduating with a bachelor's in information management and recently became interested in HIM. Not sure how to get into the HIM field and have been looking up some plans.

However I wanted to see if anyone was in a similar situation and are now in HIM and can share their experiences?

Look up "Health Information Management Careers" on google.

From the looks of it, you can have a career working in the IT or technology department of a hospital.

You either start in a health care environment, for a big software provider such as Epic, Sunquest, or Meditexh, or work for a consulting company.

I do HIM and it has nothing do with IT or working in technology.

Health information = Medical Coding

It is hard to get hired in Vegas without experience.
