$19.99 a case at the Smith's on Flamingo and Sandhill. They had them for sale at the Smart and Final across the street too but they were by the pound there.

Carlito's Burritos at Sunset and Green Valley Parkway gets a bunch in every year and they roast them on the premises. They are generally available for most of the year.

I got a couple pounds at Smart and Final. Cleaned them last night and I will roast them today. I have eaten lots of them but I have never tried roasting them myself before.

I roasted them and not much left. I can see why people buy them by the case!

Is anyone finding locations that are doing the roasting? I just called several Smiths and was told none of their locations could get the fire dept. permit to do it this year.

I checked at Sprouts off Rainbow and Flamingo and they already did the hatch chile roasting!

Anyway I bought some by the pound and roasted them myself with garlic, yellow onion, and tomatillos and made a great batch of chile verde.

I had to go back to Smart and Final to use a raincheck. I was surprised to find big bags of chiles for .99 each in the clearance. I got 4 bags and I will cook them today!
