I love how this thread devolved into people claiming THEIR system works.

works.
There is a difference between those just using wagering strategies and those that use observation to gain information used to get the advantage over the casino.

Do You Know Anyone Who Lost Everything Gambling?
I know quite a few guys that lost everything gambling. Not in the casinos, the poor suckers got married.

Do you have any stories about friends or family losing everything? Does this really happen that people lose homes and everything?

I've also heard crazy stories about people gambling and losing everything on vacation and become stuck here and homeless.

Look forward to hearing from you.
It's not the Hollywood esque "bet it all on black" (nor any other casino table game) that bankrupts most people. It's the machines. As a former bartender, I don't have enough fingers and toes to count all the people I have seen throw EVERYTHING away (including my, at the time future, now permanent mother in law). It doesn't matter the demographic either. Strippers to brain sergeons, lonely housewives to wealthy retirees ( and also lonely housewives of wealthy retirees LOL), coked up hookers to panhandlers. The addiction is REAL.
On a side note, the most degenerate gamblers I've ever known had no overt signs of addiction (i.e. they weren't looking for that kind of high).

Card counting in blackjack exists and is effective. This is not news.
