I was curious about the Manhattan Park Avenue condominiums. I was considering buying a loft unit. Has anyone else had any experience with these particular units? I've seen very mixed reviews however I am aware that it is very large complex and income range is in units very widely. The don't seem to have appreciated as much as some of the other areas. I have head varied complaints from well sound insulated to terrible insulation between units and there is crime everywhere. Anytime I have visited it seems relatively nice. . It appears most reviews are by investors or someone who just had a negative experience there. I feel these are hardly objective. Any feedback would be appreciated.

I stayed there at a friend's place for a few weeks when I first moved to town. I thought they were perfectly fine. They're certainly not Queensridge Place or the Waldorf, but the security and amenities are good, it's reasonably priced (including HOA fees), and a decent-enough location. Also had no issues with sound, but it depends on your frame of reference; coming from NYC, it was practically silent, but if you're coming from a farm in the middle of nowhere, it'll seem loud. Same goes for the unit sizes; I wouldn't raise a family of 8 there, but if you're solo or married without kids, no worries. Also, if you don't drive, the gated aspect of it can get a little annoying, but that's not an issue for many people. Having a balcony was nice, too. Overall, you could do a lot worse.

Go across the street to Boca Raton Condos which was built with concrete. Less noise transfer. Save your sanity.
