I find the open spaces in which you can literally see all of the horizon to be freeing.

In the Northeast when you drive around, you are bottlenecked by the tree canopy. All you see is the bushes, and a little sky right above you. That is the true feeling of being trapped. It is like a maze scientists make the rats run.

Source?

I believe LV is full of people coming and far fewer leaving. You have a source that says otherwise?
Median credit score is 646:

How many people actually stay more than a few years before leaving? I know many who were gone in a short period of time. I'm already on my second neighbor in 18 months downstairs.

Research varies according to who’s conducting it. United Van Lines has its annual National Movers Study, which in 2014 ranked Oregon as the top destination, while New Jersey had the highest number of residents leaving (65 percent), followed by New York (64 percent) and Connecticut (57 percent). Nevada wasn’t on the top 10 list of outbound states. In fact, it was No. 6 on the list of top inbound states.

If you love the open desert and the great outdoors, you won’t feel trapped at all. Pick a direction, and you will find the greatest National Parks and wide open topography that the nation has to offer. If you want to feel trapped, try living on Long Island. Unless you put your vehicle on a boat, there is only one way out and driving through the city is often clogged with hours of traffic.

Toll roads do pay for themselves. Some make a profit.
