Seeing an Antifa type in Topeka would be downright hilarious. Tell us how it goes.

Yes, because programmers from the Bay Area are "Antifa type(s)."

Of course not. Programmers have jobs.

And in 20 plus years in CA I never met a radical liberal there either. I am sure you can find some in either state but generally off in the extreme end of the groups. Once took a boat from LA to Cabo. Five CA ditto heads and me. Spent a couple of hours twice trying to get them on Rush Limbaugh on the ship to shore.

And note that we are heavily linked in all sorts of dimensions to southern CA. Where do you think your gasoline comes from? The food in the supermarkets?

So drop the stereotypes and you will appreciate NV even more.
What would these people do if they didn't have mythical characters and people to rail against? I mean of course every California wants to pay higher taxes and loves unions. If it weren't true what good would their rebellion against California be good for?

People would lose jobs and the economy in LV would tank. You’d be creating more problems for LV than solving. Dumbest thing I’ve ever seen here.... and that says a lot!
LV doesn't even have a white-collar economy. Just gaming and services to the workers and tourists. NV does not do well to attract professionals; just look at the Vegas skyline--all hotel rooms along The Strip, and a couple of office buildings mingled with government buildings in Downtown. The only professionals are weekend visitors from L.A.

You would think the state would have diversified away from gaming and tourism by now with all the CA transplants (and their skills)?

How did some of them grow a conscience to protest the software to track the separated children?

Some of them are (were raised) Christian and are worried on how they would answer to God on Judgement Day.

I'm the standard bearer from the Midwest and when more Scandinavian and German blooded folks move here, we will easily eclipse the "California work ethic" that seems to prevail.

Even the managers and supervisors cannot fathom our tireless work ethic. There are no white collar jobs here? Dis proven. You have to have a car here? Complete fabrication fueled by fear. The transit system here is like something from the "jetsons," Try living in the dystopian city of Nashua, New Hampshire where I walked 30 minutes in cold, snow, and ice just to get to the bus stop. And at least another 30 minutes riding the bus to work for the privilege of making 20K per year albeit in 1999. The buses run once an hour there and cease altogether at 7pm. I still remember being huddled in my Green Bay Packer winter jacket waiting interminably for that next bus.

It all depends on your perspective and frame of reference. It is so enjoyable to me to play the odd loner rebel and the role suits me well. My hometown in the Midwest is truly an alternate hell dimension compared to Las Vegas. My apologies, I tend to wax self righteous.
