This makes me feel sort of queasy. Sort of like knowing someone went through my underwear drawer. It is becoming harder and harder to be anonymous and just another carbon based organism wandering the planet. Yes, I know I am on some camera somewhere every time I leave the house. Why does a slot machine need to know my name? If I want to put my card in the slot for rewards, at least that is my decision.

This is probably already in use for security purposes. I know Aria was set up so that cameras can scan the face of every person entering the casino.

Venetian began using this about 6-8 years ago.

I'm an advantage player and have been backed off from nearly every casino in Vegas over the past 20+ years.

The facial recognition systems do not work- otherwise I couldn't play anywhere.

That's my thought as well.

With time the system will just become more in-depth. It's life. If we don't like it we can move to some remote outpost somewhere far far away.

Just like most software it will get better over time. We can expect the day when it is near perfect and assume it will be sooner rather than later.

Yes sir, I agree. Actually, I thought that it would be here now. Fortunately, it's not.

But I'm aware it's there and take appropriate countermeasures such as wearing hats, among a few other things I best not mention.

Soon people will go around wearing theatrical masks (or just ski masks.) In Vegas, this will be too hot.

Changing up your look is your best defense. Its not the software that will get you but the casino personnel that saw your face from a recent alert and spots you along with your play.
