All stores need to start setting limits on items. Wonder if it's a better idea to order online and do pick-up/delivery? Check small ethnic stores also.

It really does cause panic when all you want to do is buy stuff for dinner, but everything is gone. At least I still see a lot of fruits and veggies, cheese, alcohol, plenty of junk food Also, the Smith's on Rampart-last week up until Thursday has been lovely to shop in. Our older population seems to be following the advice to stay away from crowds.

There was an older lady in the drive in booth at Red Rock Canyon today. There were loads of cars with California plates passing through handing her dollar bills. She wasn’t wearing gloves or a mask.

Wow, you sound very well versed. Some sort of a stable genius even. Experts in pre-WWII Germany probably tell you you should have went into that instead whatever else you do.

Lots of countries around the world are experiencing this and grocery stores are setting limits on TP and bulk goods (eg flour and rice). I'm surprised it hasn't been put into place in Las Vegas yet.

Grocery stores and warehouses such as Costco and Sam's Club seem to have the most shortages because that's where everyone shops. Agree that people need to look for alternatives such as the ethnic stores.

The one thing you definitely need to do is get plenty of sleep and eat lots of fruit and veggies. You need to be at your best health to fight the virus. Prevention is better than cure and it seems good hygiene practises and social distancing are the best methods.

Just make sure you wash your fruits and veggies real good. So many hands on them before yours.

I went to a Smiths yesterday, Store FULL of food. No TP or hand sanitizer. The only food item I could see that was wiped out was rice. None. Weird priorities people set, herd mentality at work. If someone else want's something, I better get 10 of them.

I'm not even sure hand sanitizer is all that important, sure it kills bacteria but what about virus'? Rubbing alcohol work just as well as that is mostly what is in hand sanitizers. Of course that's gone now too.

Yes, hand sanitizer works. It's nice to have, but not entirely necessary.

Really? I’m sure it varies by location. I went to two Smiths yesterday, both had NO TP, and a majority of shelves lied empty, no meats, cheese, and also non-perishables were super low stock. Also, all the baby wipes and paper towels were sold out. Guess that’s the next best option for people.

And you’re right, hand sanitizer is not all that important for prevention of corona virus specifically. Good hand hygiene always helps, with soap and hot water being most effective. In the hospital we are treating all corona patients with airborne/contact isolation precautions. Hence the N95 masks. Hand sanitizer and regular masks are insufficient barriers should you have prolonged or close contact with infected individuals. We had to move our specialty masks to locked areas due to public theft.
