300k? Amazing. Prices here are astronomical. We have friends who have moved to the Vegas area and love it. I’d be reluctant to leave from where I’m at because of our weather and proximity to the ocean.

Sounds like a great plan. Too bad Henderson is full.

I love San Diego! And I HATE big California cities...but San Diego is different.

It just makes sense and the beaches are beautiful. Of course we splurge and stay in La Jolla on the beach. So beautiful.

I love Cambria also...

Sam Diego has the most confusing street layout I have ever seen. Especially in Mission Hills.

Henderson in zip code 89052 and 89044 are among the lowest crime rates in the country.

We retired and settled at Sun City Anthem in Henderson. Zip code 89052. Very happy here and love the weather.

Not always true. It's true my subject matter tends to be redundant and a lot of the boomers here have a greater scope of knowledge, but I did the leap of faith in 1998 and 2018 and it had a revitalizing effect on me as well as a galvanizing effect. It can be refreshing especially if you leave a place where everything and everybody seem to move in slow motion and like NLV gal used to say, this city has a heartbeat and a distinctive vibe.

Hi Guys,
A big reason for my mom is the fact that I live in LA and she wants to be close to me without being in CA and she cant stand the humidity any longer it really is terrible. When she came up with the Vegas Idea I tried to get her to move to Palm Springs but that was a huge NO. We spoke to some friends who said the best area would be Green Valley? I know next month she will be out in vegas starting to look. Also Lennar has some properties that they are building in Henderson. How is that area? They build a lot in FL. I know she does not want a 55+ community. She wants something new and a townhouse.

Have some fun, visit Miami in the middle of summer sometime. You'll wish you had stayed in Vegas.

And who said she needed a cheap house? Maybe her house in Miami is worth a million dollars. The homes I have had here are less dollars/sq ft than the one I had in Naples and housing in Miami is 2% more expensive than Naples.
I was born in a tropical country and I know what humid is. Miami's weather actually isn't as bad as some of the tropics closer to the equator. For those who like tropical climates it actually nice because you don't get those cold(20s-30s) winters (cold to some people other than those from the northern latitudes)
