Fortunately, the intersection at Grand Canyon and Russell recently had traffic lights installed. This intersection apparently was pretty dangerous and busy (many traffic accidents, people who run the STOP signs, etc).

What are some of the other most dangerous/busy 4 way stop sign intersections in Las Vegas?

4 way stop signs = most idiotic thing ever invented.

The inventor made the assumption that driver's actually obeyed rules, were observant, not in a rush and courteous.

4-way stops made sense and was a cheap alternative than putting up traffic lights since 15+ years ago when those communities were built, there were no traffic nor overpopulation. Now, it is necessary since they are building more homes, shopping, and more people moved here causing a lot of traffic. Also, the people moving to Vegas seems to always be in a rush and do not know how to drive safely and courteously.

I prefer 4 way stops. Much quicker than lights and no waiting if there's no other cars.

Meanwhile the rest of the developed world has roundabouts/turning circles.

Often no need to come to a complete stop.

Roundabouts and turning circles are not the same thing. The US had turning circles very early on and they caused an increase in accidents. Roundabouts or modern roundabouts as they are properly called are much safer but were slow to be adopted by the US mostly because of the bad taste we had from the turning circle. Oddly enough, Vegas was one of the very first cities to start embracing them.

Interesting video about their history:

I absolutely HATE roundabouts! Can't imagine they are "safer", especially in a tourist town where people have no idea where they are, so they're looking everywhere! Big trucks are a major problem too, they know what to do, out of towners sometimes don't!.

Accidents tend to be at slow speeds. Sort of like parking lot accidents have few fatalities.
