Thank you. Staying on topic is always difficult with these threads.

Meeeeenwhile, would you like me to re-open the poll for more voting ... a lot has changed since mid March. Until June 1?

I would like the poll to stay closed for that very reason. The poll was before the shutdown which made it harder to predict the economy in 2021. I started a new poll for January 2022 on Friday in the economics section which is currently open until the end of May. More people are now coming to my side compared to March 15th when this poll was made. The economy of Las Vegas and the entire United States are interchangeable since Las Vegas relies on the national economy.

Cool. I just went there and voted. Glad to see someone using the polling feature. It isn't perfect but it's easy enough to use and mods can always fix stuff like not enough choices, etc. I've added polls to a lot of threads where it was useful to keep track of who likes what....

I just want to add that any black swans are included in this poll. I said it in my new poll, but I forgot to say it here. As it stands, it does look like we are going to have a recovery as I said earlier. Obviously, I do not know how long it will last. I feel that there will be a black swan that will come before January 2021 and change that. It could be a second wave or something else.

The unemployment rate just hit 28.2%! The highest it ever hit in the great depression was 25%. I do expect this to fall, but it just shows how hard we have been hit. Nevada now has the highest unemployment rate out of any state in the nation.

Sissylack is a complete turd. I hope he loses the next election.

Also, There's AT LEAST 2 big facebook groups full of people that haven't even applied for unemployment yet because of a combination of being too dumb and the site being, um, "glitchy" that's about as nice of a word as I can use to describe it. lol

There's also quite a few people like me who are technically locked out of work by law but haven't filed and won't file.

That's what I say. These cycles run some 10 years although we've been in a longer than 10 year uptrend before this occurred. It really hasn't started yet, at least in the data.
