My company drastically reduced our pay, due to the pandemic we are going through. I have heard that the stimulus package also included benefits to get some lost wages back. I am not an hourly employee, but salary. Anyone know anything?

Every state has its own rules for unemployment/underemployment benefits. On top of that, the new Stimulus Law recently passed has added benefits. Please consult your state website for advice on your situation.

You have to apply for unemployment and put in how much you are earning. Chances are if your wages are lower, but not zero, then you won't qualify for benefits for a given week. Otherwise there might be some loan programs for your company to pay you with that will be forgiven if they don't lay you off, but this is mostly for small businesses and not a certainty they will get it. There is no benefit which gets you back wages specifically.

If you are classified as a salary employee they are supposed to pay your full wages each week or have you not work for an entire week. They can't make you work 2-3 days a week and pay you less unless you agree to that arrangement in writing. Therefore the decent employers are doing rolling furloughs with a week or two off each month with the directive that you are not supposed to do any kind of work during those off weeks. If that's the case, then you can get unemployment for those weeks you don't work. The benefit is maxed out at $469/week plus $600 from the federal government, but the federal part hasn't kicked in yet.
