They planned to be before fans, over many weeks including T Mobile and the convention center. Many teams, then the finals, all in hotels, practice in high schools. It was all aid out. A lot on money was lost to Las Vegas.

No doubt. same as with March Madness, The Jonas Bros Residency, The World Poker Tournament, NASCAR whatever, and the list goes on.

I think its pretty fair to say that the Pandemic is strangling Las Vegas financially on all levels, from Big-Time money-makers like the NBA to my favorite local little eatery here in Mayberry- I mean the Water District- who is losing much business and barely hanging on.

Same with the Aviators, and they have that beautiful new stadium with a swimming pool and all...

Can you be a bit more specific? For example, a date and a convention that is well attended?

I'll be very specific- I've stated before that my wife manages for a Property Management firm-(8) AirBnB's, HUGE homes & estates, some of which can accomodate as many as 30 or 40 guests.

They are now at 100% fill rate, when back in March, all bookings were cancelled. This at a time when all the main attractions of Las Vegas, Casinos and events- have not yet reopened.

Every property is booked, and the reservations are coming in steadily, as forthcoming Phases 2-4 are planned. When things do re-open- and they probably will- I stand by my statement.

I would have no idea whatsoever as far as what conventions are being planned- I'm not in the Travel Agency or Convention booking business. My statement was- re-read it please- That when the city opens in stages, those companies and organizations that would normally hold their gatherings in Las Vegas, will resume their bookings. Is that "specific" enough? If not- sorry. I'll still put my money on it.

For the record- I've stated before and will say it again- there is a very real sad possibility that there could be another outbreak- even in Clark County, where we have been relatively safe. I've visited Los Angeles twice since the outbreak, and it is a LOT worse there.

If another outbreak were to happen, then it is inevitable that another shut-down would be ordered, maybe even more severe than before.

My advice- wear a mask, keep your distance, and limit activities, as if they're not limited enough already.
We went to dine out the other day, it was pathetic, not enjoyable at all.
I personally have no desire to stand in line to get into Ross, if one does- More power to ya.

People may be getting cocky, and holding gatherings, etc. We'll just have to wait & see what transpires.

I will be the first to admit that I was very scared when ebola hit in 2014 because it was a real threat to me if it did become a pandemic. COVID-19 has never been a threat to me, so I am not going to change my life over it.
I try to tell this to people but it falls on deaf ears. Most people don't even take a simple multiple vitamin and then complain endlessly about how they're always sick. I literally haven't had the flu since 1983 and I have never gotten a flu shot. I'm convinced it's because of the vitamins, minerals and other supplements I've been taking all these years.

You are not alone. Many other people don't understand what vitamins do.

There have been plenty of studies on Vitamin D and it's role in the prevention of respiratory diseases

There have also been numerous studies showing a link between severe covid-19 outcomes and Vitamin D deficiency. This could just mean healthy people get more exercise and are outside more and are young enough to make their own sufficient Vitamin D, but it definitely can't hurt taking Vitamin D3 supplements (1,000UI is a good start).
