Today is Doreen's birthday. We were all set for Americana this evening but convened the family council this morning and decided it was too soon for two very vulnerable. So we have postponed her formal birthday 90 days when we likely go to Vintners Grill or Americana or perhaps Michaels.

Magical Being and Samson concurred. Said they wanted their cut of the goodies.

We felt more safe at Americana than at the grocery store. Disposable paper menus, staff all in masks, tables about 10 feet apart and we ate on the outside patio.

Yes - It is almost inherent in their layout at Americana. Michaels would also likely be pretty good. Their booths are all pretty private. Vintners Grill would have had to rearrange their tables...many are grouped too close. I expect they have however.

Really would like to get out but going to remain very cautious. Only Doreen goes grocery shopping wearing protection. She will not go to Trader Joes anymore because of the inside crowd. But she finds Albertsons at mature hour very nice.

Wanted to give a recommendation for Mountain West Eatery in Southwest LV. It's on Blue Diamond near Decatur. https://www.yelp.com/biz/mountain-west-eatery-las-vegas

A very casual BBQ place. Plus they make a very good breakfast. These poor owners opened their doors 3 days before the shutdown. They managed to stay afloat and said they did a good take out business. The dining room is open and the tables are spaced at least 6 ft apart. All safety measures are being followed.

I'm going to be dining out much more than I ever did because I want to help out our restaurants, owners and staff.

Flemings, Lazy Dog, Brio, Bonefish Grill are open for dine in at Town Square. It is unfortunate that Miller's Las Vegas Ale House will not reopen. California Pizza Kitchen still does not offer dine in service.

Town Square ruined the beautiful park and children's play area. The current set up is a step down compared to what it was once before. Many trees were removed including some palm trees and the end result is disappointing.

Got a delivery coming from El Pollo Loco. We use them regularly for takeout. Lets see how they do on delivery...

Most of the restaurants state they will open June 4th. That's just a short wait. I'm a very fussy diner. Not satisfied with the restaurants on Desert Shores Lake. Classify my places according to nice for any week night or weekend; then those that are special. Into the first classification goes Lakes Lounge in the shopping center at the Lakes. Also would be the Italian American club with live music and great Italian. Great Chinese would be the chinese restaurant, sit down or take out, inside SunCoast or BoBo's carryout on Sahara. My daughters a gourmet Caterer out of town and high on her list when she comes in would be Buchon's in the Venetian. Also very nice for special times is the high end restaurant in the SunCoast with piano background or T-Bones in Red Rock. Also not to be beaten is Lawry's.

If you are anxiously awaiting them, you could take care of the hamburg from Timbers at Burger King (minus the beer) or the canned clam chowder from Village Pub at Zuppa's.
