On the Declaration of Value form for transferring property, I am supposed to put the "Real Property Transfer Tax Due" on line 3.d. If I have an exemption, should I write "0.00" on this line or should I write in what the tax would be if I didn't have the exemption (or if my exemption were to be denied)?

Here is the form: http://www.clarkcountynv.gov/recorde.../DV_Packet.pdf

Normally, I would go to the Recorder's Office and use one of the computers where you can browse through official records in order to look at some examples of how other people filled it out, but the "Clark County Government Center is currently closed to the public until further notice due to the growing concerns for social distancing regarding the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) Pandemic."

Also, does anyone know where to get the Gift Deed form?

You put in 0 and fill at the exemption entry as to why.

Do you have an agent? They should know all this or where to find out. It is not hard stuff.

What is this gift deed form you are looking for. That is one I have never come across.

This will be a transfer from a parent to a child (exemption 5), so we're not working with a real estate agent for this. I think we need to record a Gift Deed.

See Recording a Land document - Clark County Recorder

At the top of the webpage it says "Sample Real Property and Land Documents" and it lists different kinds of documents that can be recorded but it doesn't actually provide samples. I have several examples of Grant, Bargain and Sale Deeds, but I don't know what the exact requirements are for a Gift Deed.
