Me for sure! So excited. This was the shortest winter I can ever imagine. I was swimming 4 days before Thanksgiving and I turned the pool on and swam 3/28! I will be swimming all day Friday, probably most of the day Saturday, and a lot Sunday (guests in town). Amazing weather. We did have a windy winter yet again though, it was the same last year. Is that normal? I recall last spring (2020) being pretty windy for April and May then almost no wind all summer long. Still, it was maybe one windy day per five so that isn’t bad...

I wish I could be excited for "turning on my pool"
but I'm still a long ways out. House was vacant for
a year before we purchased and we had house sitters
for about 8 months before we moved in full-time.
The water (if you could call it that) was a mad science
experiment beyond explanation. I drained the pool but
haven't finished cleaning out the dirt and debris. I couldn't
decide if it needed a retile/replaster or not.

I do have the Y membership and a Wet N Wild membership now
so have plenty of pool options. I'm looking forward to visiting
Circa as well...their Stadium Swim looks incredible.

I’ve been out swimming the last two days. Of course I got a little pink yesterday, I don’t even get it. I didn’t even use sunscreen more than 3 times all of last year and became convinced that it’s impossible to burn here somehow lol. I still am baffled it can get so hot here but it doesn’t really burn you almost ever. But I’m being less stupid this year and using sunscreen like a human being and not a Neanderthal hahaha.

The late English Dave used to visit Vegas. About how old was he when he passed?

In one of my investing emails today there's positive news that casino investment trusts are having a good year and Caesar's reports that "weekends in Vegas are sold-out for the foreseeable future."

Excerpt:

"Vegas Is Sold Out? Recent earnings reports from casino operators painted a particularly bright picture for the tourism recovery as Caesars saw occupancy rates rebound to 84% in April and commented that "weekends in Las Vegas are sold out for the foreseeable future." MGM Resorts saw hotel occupancy accelerate to 73% in April at its Las Vegas properties and commented that "March was one of the best months on record for total gross bookings with weekend occupancy in the spring and summer months tracking near 90%." TSA Checkpoint data showed that air travel rebounded to 70% of 2019 levels for the first time this past weekend, up from a low of 4% last April."

I'm vaccinated now and it's good to go passed two weeks. I'm ready to go out again except I gained all this weight back during quarantine the past year. I stayed inside since I'm high risk. I kind of loved it since I'm more introverted.

Now I gotta diet again and care about my appearance. Bleh. I haven't worn makeup all year and I have about five burns on my arms from cooking at home. One month I spent $600 on takeout alone cuz I didn't want to cook. That was December. I spent all the Christmas money on me. It was so nice. I never do that.
