With the added benefit that you'd be near work and near major Asian population centers in So Cal (LA, South Bay, Irvine, San Gabriel Valley, etc).

There is an Asian community in Las Vegas, but I've been told that it's not as close-knit and family-oriented as the Asian communities in SoCal are.
Yeah I'm familiar with Riverside as I went to UCR but I just don't like the traffic flow of that area going west towards LA/OC...i mean if i stay in california my job is in DTLA and the traffic to/from riverside is a nightmare.

I currently live in the Rowland Heights area and even from there to DTLA can be...a real pain....i can't use alternatives like metrolink because my job requires me to be on the road frequently to meet with customers...

I can't speak to exact areas, but I'm in Macdonald Ranch area (South Green Valley) and our neighborhood is full of Asian couples and whatnot. In fact, to either side of me are Asians, very nice and awesome neighbors from my limited interactions (pandemic) so far, and I know Henderson here is a pretty heavily Asian area compared to many other parts of the Metro area. I also love Asian food, most types except I don't really like Korean food, but I like beef bulgogi. I'm a big fan of Chinese and Thai food specifically and it took 3-4 tries to find a good Thai place. I really didn't care for the 2 nearest me, but the 3rd we tried was good, the 4th was great, so I'm happy about that. Just ate some awesome Chinese food a few days ago the wife brought home, but couldn't tell you where she got it except it was somewhere close.

The two communities most people look at when coming here are Summerlin and Henderson as they are safe and have the most new construction so you can get great value for a home especially when coming from CA. When we moved here, we moved to Summerlin and it has worked out. It's 20 minutes to Chinatown to goto an Asian supermarket and it has a surprisingly decent number of decent korean, vietnamese and chinese restaurants. I would say you won't always find the same quality if you are comparing to SGV or Rowland heights but there are some gems here. I haven't found a community of heavy concentration of asians as you would find in SGV, Rowland or Diamond bar. I think we are just scattered all over the place unlike California

Las Vegas area is about to surpass the Bay Area in their Filipino population, both are neck in neck at around 5% each (only Hawaii metros have more). Filipinos are over 50% of the population of Asian Americans in Las Vegas. I heard that Henderson and Las Vegas in general has a huge amount of WMAF couples consisting of mostly White guys with Filipinas.

There is Chinese food both in Henderson and LV but it is not like the Bay Area. I miss the neighborhood Chinese delis with the ducks and chickens hanging in the window, the stuffed sticky rice rolled in a leaf (joong), etc. I asked local Asians for restaurant recommendations and there are lots. When the pandemic hit, a couple of my favorite joints closed, hopefully temporarily.

Some of the little strip malls that abound in the area have a decent family owned Chinese restaurant.

You can find good food but nothing compares to the SF Bay Area.
Yes good old Clement Street for roast pork, roast duck and Char Siu Bao/Dim Sum.

Personally I would have stayed in Pacifica for the great foggy weather. You have great beaches to fish from and it still has that small town feeling but now unaffordable to live.

Love Filipino food such as Pan Sit, Lumpia, Chicken Adobo, Pork Adobo, and Lechon. All very similiar to Chinese Food.

Even more Filipino population than Serramonte, in Daly City in CA?

Strange you say that considering many Asians consider it an honor to live amongst white people.

The last time I was in Vegas, plenty of casino buffets feature Asian food, and I see Asian Deli in some foodcourts with roast duck and BBQ pork.
But nothing beats NYC China Town.
