You won’t find a home in summerlin for under 250k. I moved to centennial hills and at the time a couple years ago there were plenty of houses for under 250. It’s pretty safe compared to northeast Vegas but no matter where you move to you will find random crime. And you said you pay 530 a month for rent. If you buy a house for 250k with HOA/water/electric/sewer you will prob be paying around 1500 a month for everything.

Your post is very strange though. You don’t want crime but ask for the cheapest area to live. But you mention summerlin which is the most expensive area to live.

Because I have to live in a safe area, but I know here in the US, "safety" and "low cost of living" are basically mutually exclusive. In China you can walk all over the place at 2AM throughout the entire city (I lived in Harbin for 14 years) and not a single violent crime is going to happen to you. I guess my best choice is to keep renting my little cozy room in mighty Summerlin.

Yes, for the price you pay, and your apparent objective of living dirt cheap, I think you should stay where you are and ride it out as long as you can.

Sure, as long as you don't complain about the Chinese government like you complain about government in this forum. Perhaps you should have stayed in Harbin?
