My EUC (CARES) unemployment expires this week. The new stimulus bill was suppose to extend this till March 15th but it looks like that may not happen for a while. Thanks Trump!

Should I go ahead and file for SEB (state extended benefits) which lasts 20 weeks?

What if the stimulus bill gets signed? Will I get put back on EUC and taken off SEB?

The reason I’m concerned is that I don’t want to initiate my SEB claim until I have to. If I can put it off till March 15th (with the stimulus signed), I won’t have to start my SEB claim till then which will give me more time to find work.

Thanks!

If Trump had signed the bill, I'd just stay on my current unemployment plan till mid March. I don't want SEB to overlap the stimulus extension but since there is no clear path, I'm probably just gonna file an SEB claim.

Yeah, never mind that Pelosi turned down a $1.8 Trillion stimulus bill in October.

She did it for whatever reason but that doesn't keep
the republicans from bringing back the offer.
