Weird question to ask but....any recommendations on good places to buy paintings? Got a new house and trying to make the bare walls more alive. Been buying paintings from Burlington but the price is pretty hefty. $30-60 per painting. Any places that sells paintings for $15-20?

Check craigslist or a local online group such as facebook, nextdoor, freecycle, etc.

I once saw a motel on craigslist dumping framed artwork for $5 each as they were redecorating. Hell, you can't even buy a frame for $5 much less one filled with artwork.

You're not going to find much art for $15-20 or even $30-60. As Mike said, frames aren't cheap, and his recommendations for places to look are good.

Target and HomeGoods have framed art, not sure about prices.

I don't know about prices but the last time I was at Hobby Lobby, they appeared to have a lot of framed artwork on the shelves.

I have bought lots of canvas paintings on Goodwill Auctions online. I stopped going on there because it becomes addictive.
