Apparently dehydration is a concern after your 2nd shot. My sister-in-law called an ambulance after hers, not knowing what was going on until the medics told her that she was just dehydrated. She drank lots of water and felt fine.

When my wife got her 2nd shot, the staff was already trained to tell people to drink as much water as possible. She did so and only had mild chills that night, but nothing unexpected.

Dehydration seems to coincide with your friend's wife's symptoms. It also seems to match up with your own symptoms as alcohol is a known dehydrator.

DRINK WATER, PEOPLE!

Great tip, thanks! Dehydration is always a problem in Las Vegas anyway, I try to drink as much water as possible. I have a friend here who had a costly ER visit that was just dehydration. Expensive way to learn the lesson.

Scored my appointment for the 2nd shot. 3/17, St. Patrick's Day. For me that is pretty much the one year lockdown anniversary right when Las Vegas shut down.

I got my first dose of the Pfizer vaccine yesterday at the Cashman Center.

Pretty painless process. The longest part was the 15 minute post-shot waiting period.

You're welcome. I signed up for the VA newsfeed and get emails every few days--how I found out. Glad the system is catching up. Be well.
