Just got shot #1 at Sun City Summerlin. Pfizer.
They were totally overstaffed...tons of workers
directing everyone. I asked and they said they're doing
about 1000 shots a day. I was in the queue after arriving within
5 mins...the longest wait I had was after the shot..the 15 mins.
Each chair had an individual timer for that. Total time spent on
site between driving in and leaving was 30 mins. Booked second
shot without any issues and at same location from cell phone while
in parking lot. They also had someone there to make your appointment
for you if you didn't know how to do it. It was a really well run
site and the only waiting was if you showed up too early to your
appointment. Guy who gave me my shot was from LV Fire & Rescue...
very professional..hardly even noticed the prick.

Can you share the link to where you sign up for the shot? Is it for anyone over 16+? Thanks

It was 16+ w/underlying conditions April 5th, but the Nevada immunization website says everyone 16+ is now eligible. I recall Sisolak mentioning that would happen mid-month but not sure for what day.

I was able to get mine early though cause some places were offering it a week early. I followed a link on Facebook to search for vaccination sites in my area and it gave me Walmart by my house and redirected me to the Walmart website when I selected a site.

You can go directly to their Walmart website. Then you can book it online and fill out all the patient info. Make sure it says confirmed and you have an email with a confirmation number for the appointment. They asked me for that. There's very little wait time too. It took maybe 15 minutes. Then they make you wait 15 minutes after for any immediate reactions to the vaccine.

This website is specific for Nevada and at the bottom you can enter your zip code for vaccination sites near you.

Are there any differences between Pfizer and Moderna? I feel as though Moderna is riding off of Pfizer. I see all this data from Pfizer. I get curious if any of Pfizer's data is the same for Moderna..

Who's gotten both doses of Moderna? Any side effects? How much pain reliever do you need to take for a headache if it comes?

My 2 kiddos ages 16,17 got their first Pfizer shots yesterday at Cashman. Make sure to bring some form of ID and a parent or legal guardian has to be present.

Pfizer is what people are taking if they have any fillers or derma implants, due to the swelling side effects of other vaccines. It's also good for six months they said. It could be good for longer but the studies have only had six months time so far. Pfizer did viagra so lots of people are going with it. Plus they say it sounds more designer? Which is weird reason to take it but whatever.

Moderna is also good for six months according to a study and it also could be good longer. It came out today more people are reporting side effects with Moderna than with Pfizer. Both are still really good though. The people that created this were the ones who invented the mRNA technology used for the vaccines. It's also the Dolly Parton vaccine.

J&J the one pump chump and done has been suspended for review by the EU today due to rare blood clots. Three of them were reported in the United States. This comes after AstraZeneca also having the same issue. The J&J rollout has been suspended in a few States too. I don't think AstraZeneca is available anywhere currently.

If you have any swelling take ibuprofen. I had a little swelling in half my body even down into my left leg after my shot. It reminded me of when I got botox one time and it spread in my forehead overnight and felt like rice crispies for weeks. I haven't gotten it again after that. You can feel this layer under your skin of something puffy there but you can't see it. I read some people get a lump at the shot site and the soreness is now called Covid arm. That's the best way I can describe it. I have undiagnosed allergies though that I probably should get tested for so I think it might have been due to that. It's never been anything serious though. I only needed two tablets and then I didn't feel the pain anymore and it helped with the swelling.
