the story is more sickening every time i hear something on it.

did i hear right that the two docs have had their accounts 'frozen' to prevent any big $ transfers (i think i heard no transfers over $50K)? pbby a good idea, although even that amount seems pretty high considering the crime.

Reusing needles?! They are aware that butteflies and sharps containers aren't that expensive, right? What is this, Sierra Leone? I hope one nasty class-action lawsuit appears -- wait till the people find out how much Interferon + riboflavin therapy costs, both in dollar and in physical distress, and then the anger that pervades them when they realize that for 66% of its users, it won't even rid the body of Hep. C.

Sorry to everyone who will be put through that. What a disaster.

My bad. I mis-read the article, substituting syringe for needle. Ah well, just as bad!

Actually if they had used fresh syringes and needles they would have been clear. I am still curious as to who actually controls the procedures of a nurse anesthetist. Is the nurse supervised by the MD doing the procedure? Or someone else.

I would think any heavy and portable money is well outside of the US already..

Note that the clinics have only a million in liability insurance...and the MDs may not be personally liable.

Maybe very interesting.

NRS 632.014 seems to show-----under the "care" of an MD: very ambiguous: NRS: CHAPTER 632 - NURSING

Just the tip of the iceberg--the sharks, and injured will go after "big pharma", as they were aware of multiple-use dosage of meds.
