Sometime Friday afternoon the stimulus payment appeared in our checking account.

Got what was expected but we certainly did not expect such quick service.

Expecting a nice boost to the local economy with so much 'extra' money floating around.

My college daughter has her stimulus check pending online but no bueno for me. I guess if you pay taxes, the IRS doesn't want to give it back.

If they can put it in so easily, just imagine how easily they can take it out.

Very - pure green...a Finnegan on one stream.

Better than I - I am 3/4 Green and 1/4 Orange. Can fight myself in as phone booth.

The Orange part is interesting.. .Great Grandma had six sons in upper NY. All the ladies in the area where RC. So the boys decided to do the practical thing and all went RC. She never after spoke to any of them.

But they all ended up with Irish catholic ladies and went on from there. Grandpa ended up a WWI fighter pilot. Unfortunately he was good at it and they made him an instructor and never let him out of Oklahoma. One of the more humorous things I can think of is my Grandmother, the ultimate Manhattan snob. off for years in OK. He ended up a surveyor in NYC where he did lots of the tunnels. One summer in College he got me a job pouring concrete on the approach to the Throgs Neck Bridge. We did not get on the bridge as we were a Manhattan street crew. I did however get to bust up and restore sidewalk in the middle of Manhattan. Interesting stuff.

3/17 is the official payment date that was in the bill giving the IRS a week to get started on processing the payments. Your bank can't put the money in your account until that date.

Well, happy to hear from the Treasury department that stimulus check round two went out, letter send dated in the month of February. Um that money maid it's way back into the economy what, back in 2020. I can't wait to see if I get a letter about the third in the Fall. No excuse to blame it on the USPS service considering they only sent the letter out last month. Gotta love them, just like them billing me for a student loan which had already been paid off some three decades ago. In the end I did get that money back from their billing mistake.
