I wouldn’t rate harrahs too high either. To me, harrahs is just like the Luxor, Excalibur, or circus circus minus the kids. Their suites (normal ones) would be a regular room at other strip properties. When I didn’t live in Vegas, I stayed at the higher tier properties. Mandalay, Mirage Tower Suite, Venetian, Bellagio, Wynn, and Golden Nugget if downtown.

The new Caesars (old Eldorado) is cutting costs like crazy. They are putting less liquor in drinks etc. It seems as if they are trying their hardest to turn away customers. They are not a good company IMO.

I have some friends that work in casinos and they have been complaining a lot lately that the smell of pot is strong inside and out of most casinos. There is also a large increase of crime going on in and around the casinos.

Suggestion for strong affordable drinks: El Cortez (at least in 2019) had 5.00 margaritas 24/7 and they were yummy. I enjoyed that property.

Yesterday, when I went to the Thrive dispensary, I could not help but notice the overwhelming, acrid smell of Cannabis, as I walked through the door.
I don't have a problem with the potheads, it's the drunks I get perturbed with.

Personally, I abhor the sickly sweet smell of Cannabis. Cigarette smoke does not usually bother me.

For example, when a cannabis smoker walks on the bus, it is offensive to me and much more pervasive and pungent than the smell of tobacco. But to each their own.

Interesting fact: My lease states that this is an FHA (HUD) property and as such it is illegal here and grounds for eviction.

I live in a 55+ community and while out on my walks I smell the weed. Most people my age will not admit that they toke, because of the "age-old stigma". I quit tobacco in my 40s, but still love the smell of a cigarette. I quit weed, also in my 40s, mainly as I did not know anyone who smoked, and in Texas, it is still illegal.
In Texas, my neighbor's mom was a doctor of internal medicine. My Crohn's had been dormant for most of my teen and adult life. I had a resection at the Mayo Clinic when I was 14, 18 inches of the small intestine removed.
I started smoking the "devil's cabbage" when I was 15-16. She asked me if I had ever tried "pot" for my Crohn's. She was a doctor who would refuse to prescribe opioids to her patients.
After moving to Vegas, I went to the dispensaries, bought weed, but could not get into smoking it. I was having severe Crohn's attacks, even had to wear an adult diaper. My spouse is an RN-MSN. He put an alarm on my phone, "smoke your pot", the alarm rings at 12:30 pm and 7 pm. I smoke two hits a day, yes TWO, not joints, but one puff, twice a day. The 7 pm I don't mind as I am going to bed, but the 12:30 gives me the high I do not like, but it is only for about 45 minutes that I get a case of the stupids.
The results: I have not had a severe Crohn's attack in over a year, I do not need a diaper, I can go out without worrying about defecating on myself. Could I take Humara or Stylara (SP?), or any of the big Pharma drugs? Sure, but read the side effects. Mayo and John Hopkins had me on experimental drugs back in the 70s and they did not work. Big Pharma won't do the research as they can't make money off it, but Canada and Germany have. Do I trust American doctors? A BIG NO. I watch Big Pharma promoting their drugs, 3 out of every 5 commercials on TV. WHY??? Should it not be your doctor? I am glad I listened to my neighbor who happened to be a doctor. I never put 2&2 together, why was I Crohn's free when I was a pothead?
I have normal bowel movements, no need for a diaper or a big wad of TP stuffed in my cheeks, so I can go out.
I do believe smokers, tobacco or pot should respect those around them. Maybe they should have special smoke rooms, as they do at the Jackson-Hartfield airport, that way no one's rights are infringed on.

Just like with cigarette smoke, I think most regular pot smokers don't realize that the smell stays on their clothing and other items they use. Sometimes I would have to return a book to the library unread because the stench of cigarette smoke on the book was so strong. Same thing is now happening with pot.

I don't have a problem with anyone smoking pot in a safe way but there have been too many times that I've been stopped at a traffic light and the pot smoke coming from the car in front of me has blown back into my car. No one should be smoking pot while driving.

With the reactions to the smoke smell of pot (with which I agree, though I prefer it to stale cigarette smoke) maybe the marijuana industry should focus an advertising campaign toward edibles. "Get high without annoying the neighbors so much" ?
